Background

 

Over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and Development culminating in the role of Head of Human Resources, Global Private Banking, Royal Bank of Canada, prior to establishing herself as a Personal Development and Change Consultant in 1993.  Main areas of knowledge and expertise include HR consulting, leadership and development training, psychological assessment and personal development, career management and employability, team building and group working skills, the behavioural aspects of change and senior team facilitation & development, characteristics of successful chief executives.

 

Qualifications

 

BA, MBA, Fellow of the CIPD; Accredited by the British Psychological Society for the use of psychometrics (Level A&B); qualified user of psychometric tools including SHL ability tests, SHL OPQ 32, SHL Motivation Styles, SHL Perspectives on Management Competencies, OPP MBTI, OPP Innovation Potential Indicator, OPP 16PF5, OPP FIRO B, OPP Benchmarks.  Trained in the technique of “Future Search” (large scale participative planning process designed by Weisbord and Janoff).

 

Experience

  • Design of a competency framework for a Trading house, running communications workshops on competencies.

  • Developing a new psychometric tool for assessing potential chief executives based upon research of key competencies, motivations and preferences.

  • Coaching of over 200 individuals on career and work-life issues, helping people make more positive and successful career decisions.

  • Design and leading open and in-house Employability Workshops to assist people to be more successful in their careers

  • Interpretation and Feedback of over 500 Psychometric Assessments (using OPQ 32, Myers Briggs, FIRO B) for Senior Executive and Middle Management as part of career development programmes

  • Co-ordination of a graduate assessment centre for a French Investment Bank using numerical and verbal reasoning tests for 400 candidates as a basis for pre-selection

  • Design and facilitation of Leadership Development and Group Working Skills programmes, based on development centre principles, for MBA and MSc students at Cass Business School

  • Coaching high performing executives and managers focusing on improving personal performance and relationships with executives, peers and their own team

  • Development and delivery of follow-up training programmes for MBA students on: Time Management, Performing On Stage and Personal Influencing Skills

  • Facilitation of off site “Improving Team Effectiveness” events

  • Co-led two “Future Search” conferences in an Eastern European bank.  The conferences involved over 100 individuals and resulted in a new business strategy for the card business and the bank
